Happy New Year, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, relaxation, and maybe even a little bit of sewing time.
As we welcome the new year and the promise of warmer days ahead, I'm feeling inspired to do a little spring cleaning, not just of my physical space, but also of my wardrobe.
This year, I'm making a conscious effort to embrace the principles of slow fashion. It's about more than just buying less, it's about choosing quality over quantity, supporting ethical brands, and appreciating the craftsmanship that goes into each garment.
My "Slow Fashion" Resolutions:
* Mindful Consumption: Before making a purchase, I'll ask myself: "Do I truly need this? Will I wear it often? Is it made ethically and sustainably?"
* Wardrobe Edit: I'm going to do a thorough wardrobe edit, donating or upcycling any items I no longer wear.
* Repair and Mend: Instead of throwing away clothes with minor repairs, I'll be mending to give them new life.
* Embrace Secondhand: Explore local thrift stores and online marketplaces for unique and pre-loved treasures.

Happy new year!
