Fabric

Suitable Fabric

  • The Weaver Jacket is designed for medium-heavyweight fabrics that don’t fray at the edges.

  • Do not use woven fabrics that unravel easily.

  • Ideal choices include Boiled woo1, felted wool, fleece and polar fleece, genuine or faux shearling/sherpa, felted sweater knit.

  • All  measurements are based on a fabric width of 150cm (60”) and 115cm (45”).

  • Allow extra for obvious nap, print and pattern match.

Difficulty

Confident beginner.

Follow all instructions and make sure you read and understand the pattern before beginning.

Size & Fitting

  • The Weaver Jacket is designed with a generous, oversized fit, featuring approximately 25cm to 35cm (10"– 14") of ease.
This intentional volume is designed to accommodate heavy sweaters and layering. If you prefer a more fitted look,
    we recommend sizing down.

  • We recommend choosing your size based on how you want the coat to look on you:

  •  The "Oversized/Statement" Look: Stick to the size that corresponds to your body measurements on our size chart. This will give you the full, dramatic volume intended by the design.

  • The "Tailored/Casual" Look: If you prefer the coat to be slightly closer to the body, you can size down by one size. Because of the dropped shoulder, the coat is very forgiving in the upper chest and armhole, making it easy to downsize without restricting movement.

FAQ

How do I choose my size?

  • Please don’t go by your "off-the-rack" clothing size! Every brand is different. Grab a measuring tape, measure your bust, waist, and hips, and compare them to the Size Chart included in your pattern booklet. When in doubt, it’s usually easier to take a garment in than to let it out.

Can I get a refund if it doesn't fit?

  • Because PDF patterns are digital files that you access immediately, I cannot offer refunds once the file has been downloaded. Please double-check your measurements against the size chart before you hit "purchase."

I’m stuck on a step! What do I do?

  • I’ve worked hard to make these instructions "hair-pulling free," but I know that sometimes we all get stuck. First, take a breath and re-read the step. If you’re still confused, feel free to send me an email with a photo of where you're stuck. I’m a one-woman show, so I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

Can I sell items I make from your patterns?

  • My patterns are licensed for your personal, home use only. If you are a small maker who wants to sell garments made using my patterns, please contact me to discuss a commercial license. Mass production is not permitted.
